Kate Heaps, Chief Executive at Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice, is taking on the Trek Sahara Challenge to raise vital funds for their incredible work supporting people facing the end of life with dignity and care.
This demanding treck will see participants journey across the challenging terrain of the Sahara Desert, facing extreme conditions – heat, wind, sand, and cold – all to support those in need. Their dedication highlights the incredible commitment of individuals who go above and beyond to fundraise for such a vital cause.
The Community Hospice provides compassionate end-of-life care, helping individuals and their families navigate difficult times with dignity and support. With an annual running cost of over £12 million, and over £8 million needing to be raised through donations, every contribution makes a meaningful impact.
We encourage our members and wider business community to show their support by donating to this initiative. Every donation helps ensure that the hospice can continue to provide its invaluable services.
