Opening Friday 15th November, Vintners Lanes is a boutique bowling alley located in a stunning historic setting just a stone’s throw from Greenwich DLR and mainline stations. Featuring 6 lanes of premium bowling alongside a mouthwatering menu and delectable drinks, it prides itself on being ‘bowling, but better’.
Guests can choose to play a game or two of bowling or opt for an unlimited all you can bowl package to keep the fun going! Coupled with a delicious menu featuring delectable sharing platters, artisan pizzas, succulent burgers and classic wings, there’s plenty of fabulous food to fuel the fun. The elegant drinks menu includes hand crafted signature cocktails and mocktails, alongside craft beers, quality wines cherry-picked by the Davy’s experts and of course a great selection of no- and low-alcohol options.
Brimming with vintage character, Vintners Lanes is based in a former brewery and wine merchants, established in 1870. The venue stays true to the building’s illustrious history, keeping many of the original features within the industrial chic décor that features sumptuous period furniture, playful Victoriana artwork and vintage timber wine barrels.
A stunning events space, the Vintners Lanes team plan to bring a range of entertainment to the venue in the coming months, including cocktail making classes and live music. It will also be available for private hire for parties and corporate events. Situated in the characterful Vintners Yard complex, visitors can combine bowling with a visit to Davy’s Wine Vaults, the Yard Bar or even Houdini’s Escape Rooms, all together under one roof.
The brainchild of James Davy, a 5th generation Davy now at the helm of the family’s historic wine institution, Vintners Lanes brings Davy’s 150 years of experience in delivering exceptional quality and superior service, into the modern competitive socialising space. James told us: “I’m delighted to be giving this building with its history both of brewing, and the wine trade, a new lease of life, and Vintners Lanes is the perfect way to do it. You can really feel the history of the place as soon as you step through the door, and with the high standard of food, drinks and service you’d expect from a Davy’s business we’ve really elevated bowling into a more grown-up experience.”
