Royal Borough of Greenwich Business Awards 2021

The Best of Royal Greenwich Business Awards 2021, felt like an extraordinary event in a year that most of will remember with mixed emotions. The main event was sponsored by our strategic partner, U+I and supported by the South East London Chamber of Commerce, aims to celebrate and recognise everything that has been achieved, against the odds in business over the last 18 months despite the challenges of the pandemic. The awards also recognised how businesses of all sizes and from all sectors that are located within the borough have adapted and innovated to sustain their business.

The Awards were free to enter and provided an opportunity for micro and small businesses as well as larger organisations that help drive the local economy to shine a spotlight on their successes and achievements. The award categories sought to showcase businesses from all sectors and industries including retail, hospitality, creative and service industries, tourism and manufacturing.

The awards took place on 22 October 2021 at the InterContinental O2 Hotel hosted by a fabulous key note speaker and comedienne and writer, Meera Syal CBE.

The South East London Chamber were invited to sponsor the very special “Leader’s Award” This award which is not open for application, is a special award from the Leader of the Council to recognise the outstanding work in responding to the pandemic. The award honours a business or business person who made an exceptional contribution, above and beyond the call of duty to support the local community.and were delighted to hand this award to the very talented and, it has to be said, stylish Tribe Urban Entertainment! Michael Bullion, founder, director and CEO of Tribe Urban Entertainment is pictured here with SELCC President – Helen McIntosh, Royal Borough of Greenwich Council Leader, Danny Thorpe and Meera Syal, CBE.
