Q: What are the benefits of a Chamber membership?

Q: Do I get a Membership Card/Certificate?
A: Each member receives an individually numbered Membership Certificate on joining the Chamber. You can also download our Chamber Member logo to add to your corporate business materials and show your support for your local Chamber.
Q: If I live and/or work outside South East London can I still join the Chamber?
A: Yes. Although the Chamber covers the four boroughs of Bexley, Bromley, Royal Greenwich and Lewisham, you don’t have to be based in those boroughs to join our Chamber. You just have a wish to do business here. Everyone is welcome!
Q: My business is not yet up and running can/should I still join?
A: Yes, as we have a number of business support partners and contacts who can advise start up businesses on funding, training, financial advice and much more.

Q: Where can I get help with funding/training?
A: We have a business partnership with Branduin who can offer free business support on funding, training and more to Chamber members. All you have to do is sign up for one of their one-to-one surgeries.
We also regularly offer funding and training opportunities in Masthead newsletter. Members are automatically subscribed to that.
You can also search the member database for companies who specialise in training and funding advice. That way you really benefit from our growing network of member businesses!
Q: How do I get my export documents validated?
A: The main activity of the South East London Chamber of commerce is networking. Unfortunately, we do not have the resources to deal with documentation.

Q: I’m not used to networking and find the idea a bit daunting, can you help?
A: We are a really friendly Chamber network. If you sign up to any of our networking events, we greet you personally on arrival and introduce you to some long standing members who can help you start to make contact with the businesses that will be useful to you.
Remember, the more events you come to, the better your networking will be.
Q: What’s my login and password for the members’ only pages?
Your login is your email address. If you have forgotten the password you set up your page with, then login with your email address, click “forgot password” and you will be sent an email reminder.
Q: We are a charity, do you offer a membership rates discount?
No, we don’t. However, we have a number of charities within our membership who benefit from being active members. Attending our events helps raise their profile and many member businesses raise funds for charities within the member network.
